In the spring of 2005, Mark Boylan started an ambitious project to archive and promote the beauty and atmosphere inherent in Mississauga’s Waterfront Communities. "Views from the Beach" is a selection of his most inspiring local photography.
A long-time resident of Mississauga's Lakeview community, Mark has spent most of his life admiring and understanding the abundance of natural beauty found along the shores of Lake Ontario. An accomplished artist in a variety of mediums, his work has been shown at Goodfinds Gallery, the Art Gallery of Mississauga and other local galleries.
“The bounty of the everyday surrounds us (in Canada). Yet, despite ourselves, we are apt to forget it, to take it for granted. Only a slight shift in perspective is necessary to reveal the forgotten beauty hidden in our daily lives.
