Following up the successful day-long event, Easel Outside, this time we present a new approach and new venue!
Hidden from the cold of winter, the warm atmosphere of Saw Gallery offers an exhibition showcasing artists from the local community who embody what Easel recognizes as three aspects of artistic expression: See, Hear and Feel.
Discussion Panel
Commencing at 10am, local artists' visual works will be on display to stimulate your mind. As the day progresses a discussion session will be held relating art and journalism. A panel of professionals will guide the discussion in order to reveal the nature of artistic expression in the journalistic medium.
The Music
Towards the evening, a performance of collaborative improvisation by musicians, a DJ and visual artists will demonstrate a unity of minds & spirit through expression. The show will culminate with well-known musical acts. In addition to the bands, there will also be spoken word poets and ongoing atmosphere provided by DJ Memetic.
Social Responsibility
As always, Easel supports and promotes Amnesty International who will be present on this day to enlighten the public. A portion of all Easel proceeds are donated to Amnesty International.
