Montreal born, Christa Fairchild, is one of the few artists with a master in business (MBA). She has spent the last 15 years honing her skills in design, photography, and communications. Her background in fine arts and interior design allows her to create works that specifically take into account how we live with art, its context, color, and size with relation to ourselves and our environment.
Inspiration for her photography comes from the nature – from botany up close to the great stone expanses of the desert. She attempts with the bare minimum, to show the essence of the world without expressing the whole, creating intimacy with the subject. _____
Née à Montréal, Christa Fairchild est une des rares artistes ayant une maîtrise en administration des affaires (M.B.A.). Au cours des 15 dernières années, elle a peaufiné ses talents pour le design, la photographie et les communications. Sa formation en beaux-arts et en décoration intérieure lui permet de créer des œuvres qui tiennent précisément compte de la façon dont nous vivons avec l’art, de son contexte, de ses couleurs et de sa taille en relation à nous-mêmes et à notre environnement.
Son inspiration pour la photographie provient de la nature, du gros plan botanique aux grandes étendues rocheuses du désert. Elle tente, avec le strict minimum, de démontrer l’essence du monde sans en exprimer le tout, créant ainsi une intimité avec son sujet.
