Upon first contact, Hip-Hop has captivated his mind and led Memetic down his life's path. Realizing that he had a gift for memorizing music and understanding the way it should come together, he began on the pause mix creating tapes for himself and those in his neighborhood. Later on he began producing music and playing with mixing and cutting on the turntables available in the studio he frequented.
Growing sturdier in his skills and more expansive in his knowledge of music, when he went away to school Memetic began toying with the idea of playing music outside of the studio. Despite not having very much in the way of means, he successfully accomplished his ends to positive reviews from the public and DJ community.
After the passing of his Best Friend in Spain Memetic got the motivation to put out a mix that might extend his sound beyond his block.
In addition to playing music he writes for himself, as well as for the Ottawa Xpress in the hopes of understanding the social ramifications of Hip-Hop, and its ability to unite the urban marginalized all over the world.
In short, mixtapes are just the beginning. Much more is yet to come from this always-student, sometimes-professor of music.
