| Description: |
| This work is somewhat inspired, if that is the right word, by the awareness of certain immigrant groups all wearing the same clothes and being seen in groups together. Here represented as bundled infants, they need the security of a homeland and yet do not feel at home, They are vulnerable and yet have so much potential if given a chance. I have used the motif of the chair to signify the idea of home and as a symbol of personal power or the loss of it..
This work has been made using trace monotype and tinted wood panel – finished by printing it digitally, using pigmented ink onto Fabriano 220 gsm paper (archival).
It is titled, signed, dated and has the artists embossed studio chop mark. |
